The Landlord Gas Safety Record, without the paperwork
Every rental property with gas needs an annual safety check, and every check needs a record: which appliances were inspected, what the combustion readings were, whether the flue passed, what defects were found and what you did about them. That record is the CP12 — and writing one out by hand at the end of a job is nobody's favourite part of the trade.
This generator walks through the same columns as the paper pad: engineer and registration details, the inspection property, the landlord or agent, up to five appliances with their readings and results, the installation checks, and signatures. What must a CP12 include?
- The engineer's name, signature and Gas Safe registration number
- The date of the check and the address of the property
- The landlord's (or agent's) name and address
- Each appliance and flue checked, with the results and any safety defects found
- Any remedial action taken or required
